Dog Walking
Mainly to relieve themselves, so you don’t come home to unwanted puddles or messes. Most importantly, gives them a chance to stretch their legs, play with their friends, and check their pee-mail. Walking also allows dogs to socialize with the world. Our handlers use positive association reward techniques while walking. This technique allows your dog to associate things that typically causes stress (such as bicycles, buses, cars, other people or dogs) with something good, like a treat or a “happy” reaction during the encounter (good boy/girl with a pat on their head). Positive association teaches your dog to be confident and also makes for an easier walking experience. This learned behavior will be evident while you walk your dogs as well!
Our walk times (starts when we enter your apt and ends when we leave your apt):

- 45 minutes
- 1 hour
*We never walk more than 3 dogs at a time.
*Private walks are offered at a separate rate, please inquire.
* If your dog has a special need, please let us know so we can make the necessary accommodations to our walk schedule.
Pet Sitting and Boarding
When you are out of town for vacation, the holidays or on business trips and need someone to watch your pup. Our handler will stay in your home overnight. It’s a proven fact that pets are much happier when they stay in their home. Boarding at a kennel causes stress and Pet Pals, nyc does not believe in pet stress.
- Sitting in client’s home: Generally starts at 6pm and ends at 9am. Includes one dinner walk, one bedtime walk and one morning walk, as well as feeding AND lots of love! Times for walks, feeding and any other care needed will be followed as per owner’s instructions. Additional midday walk may be requested as well; daily walk rates will apply. We essentially live out of your apt while we stay there.
- Boarding in handler’s home: no start and end time. This is a 24 hour service and your dog is essentially a guest in our home. We provide the same walking/feeding routine just like at your home. As well as plenty of exercise and love. Of yes, and your pup will sleep in our bed if he wants to…
Kitty Sitting: Daily visits as per pet owner. Includes feeding, changing water, litter box maintenance and lots of love! Times for feeding and any other care required will be followed as per owner’s instructions.

Vet visits: If you can not take off from work to bring your pet to a scheduled vet appointment, Pet Pals, nyc is available to help out. Please provide us with 48 hours notice. We will provide you with a detailed summary of the visit as well.
